
Steph Zabel is an herbalist, writer, community organizer, teacher and gardener. She is the founder of Herbstalk, a joyful community-based herbal gathering, which brings together crafters, educators and students from across the region. She is a graduate of the CommonWealth Center for Herbal Medicine, holds a Masters of Science in ethnobotany, and worked for many years in the botanical collections at the Harvard University Herbarium.
Through her writings and classes Steph helps people to develop relationships with the natural world and to remember the inherent connections we have to the Earth and seasonal cycles.
Steph lives in Eastern Massachusetts and has a deep love for its shifting seasons, its wild & urban landscapes, its proximity to the sea, and its connections to her ancestral homeland of Ireland.
